When I first started to think about writing a paper for this assignment my initial thought was, “just get your thoughts onto paper and you can rearrange for flow, spelling, grammar, etc. This shouldn’t be too difficult”. About an hour later I realized three things: (1) I had never truly completed a meaningful self-analysis, (2) This was going to take quite a bit longer than I intended, and (3) Just how important clearly and thoroughly completing a self-analysis & career outlook is. I continued to struggle generating meaningful thoughts, let alone putting something on paper. After a long break I came back to the assignment and realized I was asking myself the wrong question. I was thinking of careers, positions and titles and then asking myself if I that would be something for me. Instead I should have been thinking about what I enjoy most and what motivates me and then trying to find a profession or position that fits me. In the writing that follows I will identify my “ideal jobs” 10-15 years down the road as well as the road I feel I must travel to obtain these positions and be successful in them. First I will explain a little about my reflection on my personal values and how they were developed.…

Several fields seem to fit the ESFJ personality type best. These include but are not limited to careers in teaching, management, sales, personal services, and care giving. These fields fit an ESFJ because an ESFJ is usually very realistic; they prefer to be upfront and personal with a person than involve themselves with data and other theoretical approaches to problems. Personally, I see myself in the management field; I enjoy being a leader and making the tough decisions that a leader must make.…

Keeping faith and discipline will help me with accomplishing my goal to start my career. Building relationships with people like me will keep me motivated. Networking in business major related functions will help me associate better with those that have the same type of goals and dreams like I do.I want them to be able to learn from me and vice versa. I learned that setting up a good plan and self-management plan will help me achieve my goals. Every day I am tempted either by drugs, sex or just distracted by other things that if I chose to partake in could hold me back. I could and used to allow things to make me lose my focus. I've learned that there is nothing that can stand in the way of me achieving my goals but me. I want to use what I've learned to encourage and motivate my peers and youth. That's the part of what my career will have to do with. Teaching and motivating the youth. Making shelter for those who can do it on their own or have had a hard time in life and just need a little help. I want to encourage the youth to do well and not be distracted.
