I Forgot The Milk Monologue
"Wait here for a minute, I forgot the milk." Those words. Those haunted words - I never want her to breathe something like it again. I roll my eyes at her because in reality "I forgot the milk" is secret code for she just saw something on sale that's probably expired but she's going to buy it anyway and it's not going to take a "minute" because she has no concept of time. By "she" I am talking about my mother - my dear mother, who I'm convinced is part of a huge conspiracy (or maybe some dumb bet with my dad) to see how many times she can publicly embarrass me in a day.

Who doesn't look impressed, noticing my lack of the presence of any sort of money. I smile half-heartedly, trying not to scream out of frustration.
Honestly how long does it take to get milk? "Um, hello...? Miss?" The girl looks at me with mild impatience and a tinge of contempt.
I bite my lip to contemplate the sitatuation. Ok first off, my mother seems to have fell into some sort of black hole on her way to find the milk, like always. Why do I always forget to ask for her purse?
To make the whole problem even better, the screams of a baby interrupts my thoughts. Great. I bet a mother who really wants to leave asap is behind me. As I peak over my shoulder I couldn't be more right - except for the fact there was two.
Really, two? How do you even get to go outside?
I hear the mother let out a judgemental sigh and scorn her face in displeasure. She looks as if she's trying really hard not to say something probably not acceptable in the public, nevermind to her two toddlers grabbing and throwing everything they can reach at. I smile at her apologingizly before putting everything on the conveyor
