Patient Rights: According to Patient's bill of rights, patient has a right to choose his healthcare provider who can give you high-quality health care when you need it, but it doesn't give any right to racially discriminate the healthcare provider. There aren't any specific policies for handling race-based requests from patients. I think it is ethically, legally and morally wrong to discriminate based on color.
Patient Safety: Patient safety always should be the primary concern of any healthcare organization. In this Hurley medical center should do a risk assessment of the situation and implement extra security for the patients from the staff members or visitors. Medical center should take care of the patient needs and monitor that patients

Management's vision should be, to see the needs of the patients and provide high quality care services, develop policies and practices to promote employee engagement with diverse groups effectively, train employees to decrease unlawful practices at workplace.
Community Values: Hospital administration should have a responsibility in identifying different cultures, their values, concerns and experiences in the community and make assumptions and biases that might affect working together with them and develop policies that improve community values. an organization with cultural beliefs and values, promotes higher patient and employee satisfaction and yields better outcomes.
Legal Implications: Yes hospitals are legally liable for discriminatory behavior by its employees. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits physicians and hospitals receiving federal funding, including Medicare and Medicaid, from discriminating against patients on the basis of race, color, religion, or national origin Discrimination against patients is a federal offense, it's against patient's bill of rights. Hostile work environment includes employees who suffer harassment and discrimination at work place.     My privilege is why I never think about being possibly mistreated by my provider, I do not consider avoiding receiving treatment, and I do not question if my race will affect the way people view me in every interaction I may encounter.
