As I close my eyes tonight,
I know something is not right.
You said ‘’life is better with you and me’’
But I saw you with your new lady.

I should’ve listened to my friends when they said you’re no good,
For I know they know better more than anyone else would.
All along I thought being strong is all I could do to get over you,
But I did not notice as you go, you carried all my strength with you.

Tonight as I let my pillow stay wet,
I know you’re out spending your time with enjoyment.
There’s no point on continuing a relationship with lies,
It would just break our lives.

We keep hurting each other and calling it love
But I never felt the genuine blub.

    Stuck between being to young for adolescence and to old to be a child, the protagonist Frankie Addams, has the desire to be the child and the adult. Within herself she's confused and lost, her body is to big, yet her mind is broken. Through the journey of Carson McCullers novel The Member of the Wedding, Frankie clenches on to the ridiculous idea of belonging to the wedding and even going off with the honeymooners after.
