Today I will be show you how to make ice cream at home with the ingredients you have around your house. I learned how to do this in my freshman year of High school. I was taking a chemistry course and on the final day of class my professor decided to teach us how to make ice cream instead of making us take an exam. I find that This method is fun and very easy to do. If you have any kids or any younger siblings, you may want to try this with them. They seem to always love doing it. Today, I will tell you the ingredients you need and the steps you must take to make ice cream I. First I would like to tell you about are the ingredients. A. There are several items you will need 1. The first item is Ice, Lots of it. 2. The second item is Milk or soy milk, which ever you prefer. 3. The third item is Salt 4. The forth item is sugar 5. The fifth item are ziplock bags (one big and one small) ⁃ You may also use regular plastic bags if you want, just make sure there aren't any holes in them.

A. Some supplies may be option 1. You may have syrups 2. Vanilla extract, or other flavors 3. You may also have toppings that you can add into the ice cream I. Second thing I will talk about is how to put this all together to make ice cream II. A. Add milk and sugar in the smaller ziplock bag and seal the bag. ⁃ You may add in other things like chocolate or strawberry flavoring. You can add chocolate chips, crushed cookies, nuts, fruits. Almost anything you like. ⁃ Get creative and add as many things as you like in it. B. Add salt and ice into the bigger ziplock ⁃ The reason you need to add salt into the bag with the Ice, is that when the salt melts the Ice, it actually creates a colder temperature than just plain ice. ⁃ When you make ice cream

There are many types of cold packs that can be used, the most common being ice in a bag of sorts. Another popular kind of ice pack is disposable that consists of a small, thin compartment that contains a salt (NH4NO3) inside a larger, thicker compartment that contains water. When the small compartment is broken open, the salt goes into the water and dissolves, which results in temperature change around 15°C.…

And lastly, a vanilla bean to enhance the taste. That’s all you will need to make the vanilla flavored ice cream. For other flavors you will need to add some other ingredients to change the taste.…

One possible source of error could have occurred because the solutions did not reach a thermal equilibrium with the freezer. This could result in the salt solutions starting off at varying temperatures. Starting at varying temperatures could result in certain salt solutions melting at rates they would not melt at if all the solutions started at the same temperature. A possible way to fix this error would be to leave all the solutions in the freezer until they reached a thermal equilibrium with the freezer. This means that I would take the solutions out of the freezer when they reached -80°C, the temperature of the freezer the solutions were placed…

Knowing how to speed up the melting rate of ice is very important information for anyone who needs to de-ice roads or driveways after a winter storm. While it seems simple, adding salt to ice water actually activates two complex, and contradictory, chemical reactions. The salt disrupts the equilibrium of water and ice, slowing down the amount of water freezing into ice and speeding up the amount of ice melting into water. However, because of this…

    Essay On Salt Water

    • 2 Pages

People have been using salt since 6050 bc.We have used it for seasoning, preservation, and in the last century for lowering the freezing point of water(History of Salt). In pure water 0 degrees celsius is the normal freezing point of water. Ice will melt just as fast the water will freeze. You won't see the melting and freezing processes as long as they are balanced and equal. Adding salt or any foreign substance to the water upsets the fragile equality between freezing and melting. Less of the water molecules reach the surface of the ice in an amount of given time. The melting rate isn't changed by the salt, so melting is going to happen faster than the freezing. This makes the ice melt(Frederick A. Senese, Why can adding salt to ice water make the ice melt slower?).…

But, a mixture of 20% NaCl and liquid water will have a lower freezing point (2 degrees Fahrenheit) than a mixture of 10% NaCl and liquid water (4). The 20% solution will then melt the ice much faster (though it isn't practical)(4). The material that melts ice the fastest is the material that dissolves into the greatest number of particles in a solution of that material and liquid water(4). It is important to learn how fast ice melts in different liquids because the Earth is currently going through global. If someone was able to find a way to keep ice from melting then maybe they could find a way to keep the polar ice caps from melting. Which could keep various animals from going extinct. If I place the ice in each liquid when they are at room temperature then I think the ice will melt fastest in the saltwater. When I first thought about which liquid would melt the ice the fastest I originally thought it would be the Pepsi because of the carbonation. But when I did research I found that the saltwater actually melted the ice melt the fastest. Which is one of the main reasons salt is put down on the ground when there is snow or ice on the…

How to Make an Ice Cream

There are nine easy steps to make a delicious ice cream. First one is to get a large bowl and pour warm water in it. Add one teaspoon of unflavored gelatin and blend it very well with your balloon stainless steel whisk. You’ll need two cups of fresh milk. Mix one cup together with a quarter cup of sweet honey. By this time, you can now sense the aroma of the honey spreading the area. The next step is to put the rest of the fresh milk along with a cup of evaporated milk, and mix it again. Once you’re done, put the contents in the freezing compartment of your refrigerator. Leave it in the freezer for two hours or until it is very hard. Might as well relax or watch television with your favorite show in the mean time. After your break, put it out and beat the mixture with a whisk, again, to make it soft and frothy. Mix the nuts and stir it lightly. You may use fruits if you prefer a healthier diet. And put it again in the freezer and leave it there for another two hours. Once it is frozen, take the ice cream out and serve it to your family or friends.…
