How To Become A Good Critical Thinker
At each stages I learned a lot of things from this class that even helped me with my daily life and showed me that I can become a good critical thinker. Also, it helped me make change at work for myself and my team, every day we take turns to come up with activities that we can teach each other and motivated each other too. The critical thinking is very helpful to me because it helped me learn how I can solve my problems and it helped me learn more about myself weakness and what I need to work on.
My plan is that I give myself a mini vocation around state to see the other side of the world and meet people from different cultures and background. I know that become a great critical thinker means you have to experience the difference of life

Beliefs are the things that we hold dearest to us, believing that they are true and correct. Most of the time though, there’s no proof or evidence to support these beliefs. The biggest belief in many people’s lives is religion. People’s religious beliefs can vary depending on their faith. Christians believe that God made the world in 7 days, when you die you will go to heaven or hell depending on how you conducted your life and that Jesus died on a cross. Jehovah’s Witnesses base their faith on Christianity but have different beliefs. They believe that when you die there is no heaven or hell and Jesus died on a stake not a cross, that’s why they do not use the cross in their faith.…

Critical thinking is reflective reasoning about beliefs and actions. It is a way of deciding whether a claim is always true, sometimes true, partly true, or false. The three most significant things I have learned in this class would be to never assume anything until you know if it is true or not, to never pass judgment on something unless if it is true, and I have learned to never go by what others have or might have said always use your brain to find the answers you are looking for. This class was a good class for me to take because I have never been a critical thinker I have always been a beginner thinker and this class has changed…

Chapters ten through twelve began to focus on why people think the way they do, as well as why one responds to questions in the manner that they do. There were two heuristics found inside of these three chapters that specifically interested me in their ties to our humanity; they were the bias of confidence over doubt and the anchoring principle.…

Critical thinking is something that I use throughout my work at the Regina Police Service as a Direct Entry Reporter. I answer calls from disgruntled, crying, scared or hysterical citizens regarding incidents that have occurred to them. It is then my job to direct them to other units, take their report, or call to dispatch officers. I personally use critical thinking throughout the call in order to determine what course of action to take. This involves looking at all of the evidence that is in front of me and determining how to best accommodate to the citizen in distress. Although I use critical thinking as a DEVR operator I believe one of my greatest challenges was working for the chip company Frito Lay for a summer as a relief driver.…

Liberal arts classes have been of great importance to me since they have shaped me to become a better critical thinker. To begin with, humanities have equipped me with knowledge about people and how to be humane. By knowing that people are different and reason differently, I can empathize with them before drawing conclusions. By studying social sciences, my mind has become open to the world, and I can, therefore, view things from different perspectives (White, 2011). I no longer limit my judgments to my perceptions of the situations. I explore possibilities before drawing conclusions. The knowledge of natural sciences have enabled me understand the distinctive functions of the brain and how they are interrelated (White, 2011). I can tell how my wants affect my thinking and how thinking will result in generation of thought and consequently influence my actions. I therefore become very cautious and take control of my emotions.…

Not only has my critical thinking skills improved, but my self-confidence has improved. I have also expanded my knowledge on who I am as a person, and along with that how I work with others in a group setting. I also have had practice creating and implementing a teaching session with a patient on a unit. Having nursing students learn to shape their critical thinking skills is very important, especially because it is overlooked by the nursing students themselves. I can safely say that after this course and the assignments linked to this course, I have learned the importance of critical thinking skills in nursing and will continue to use and develop these skills in my nursing…
