How my optimism will help me press on to greater achievements of the future
How my optimism will help me press on to greater achievements of the future I can’t be optimistic about my future… I can’t, without looking at my past that is. I’ve seen where I used to be in life compared to where I am now. I use that climb in my everyday life to fuel my optimistic view, because without knowing struggle you’ll never know progress. I know that without a past I can never have a future and without a future what’s there to be optimistic about? Optimism is helping shape me into a leader for my society and generation while using my past to help me achieve this. Optimism is the warm, orange and yellow light in a dark room screaming for attention. That light is called hope. That, that’s what keeps you pushing through a bad day, optimism is important because without it we wouldn’t be able to go anywhere in life. If we didn’t have optimism we would all be stuck in the past regretting the choices we did and didn’t make. Optimism is helping us push through those regrets and is helping us realize that those choices are what made us who we are today, and who showed optimism throughout his whole entire life? That’s right, Martin Luther King Jr. When you say or even think of his name what comes to mind? Equality, civil rights, his I have a dream speech? What really confuses me though is how someone can have the courage to speak in front of crowds of people who agree and disagree with every word he spoke. How can someone speak in front of crowds people who tearing him down with their judgmental eyes and building him up with their encouraging words? How? The answer is having optimistic view on the outcome of a situation. He spoke of something that no one had the guts to speak about during his time. He spoke of equality for not just himself, but for everyone and praying that one day his words would be turned into a reality. And when something didn’t go his way he didn’t give up he looked at it as another reason to strive harder to his dream and that’s what I
