The first reason is I want to challenge myself, don’t want to stay in comfort zone. The second reason is in 2014. That time the hong kong government really made me felt disappointed, because at that time, Hong Kong people had a demonstrations that called umbrella movement. That was a very peaceful and Non-Violences activity, But the government used the barbarous way to solve it. That really made me feel shocked because I lived in hong kong most of my life. But that time, i felt very unfamiliar and strange, because in my education, Hong kong should have freedom of speech. But it started to change this few years. All the people i met in Hong Kong including my teacher and parents, are upset about it. So i plan to leave this city a period of time to take a rest, Let the sadness behind me.

Before Europeans even knew about the Americas, Native American tribes were the first inhabitants. These first inhabitants were a people group united by kinship and called Paleo-Indians and they settled in the Americas between twelve and fifteen thousand years ago. Large mammals and an abundance of plants drew hunter-gatherers to the Americas, which provided the sustenance necessary for survival. Agriculture takes hold in a portion of the Americas between 1000 to 1200 AD, but spreads further and more extensively by 500 AD. Agriculture in the Americas was much different than in Europe and other countries. In the Americas, crops such as corn, beans, and squash were grown and there were no animals involved. Early fifteenth century, Europe was a patchwork of small kingdoms and principalities, and Europe began to expand into Muslim country and acquired a desire to trade goods with Asia, so they went about exploration of other than previous forms and ended up in America, without knowing it.…

The state of our country, the safety we have come to know as an ingrained American feeling is now gone. The terrifying events that brought down the towers of the World Trade Center, killing thousands of innocent people on September 11, 2001, is a day that will forever be remembered in our history. The hijacking of planes by the acts of terrorist forever changed airport security, the view of turban-wearing Sikhs forever changed how most Americans view them, the fighting of a war in the Middle East for more than a decade, all are changes that we faced and are still facing due to the violent mastermind of Osama Bin Laden. That Tuesday morning, which started off like any other day, leaves us with many lingering questions, many children who at that time were children and are now young adults, some without one are both parents, a day that stripped Americans of their sense of safety and security.…

Over the course of thirteen years, America has changed significantly. Things such as transportation, security and even budgets for defense related agencies have changed drastically. I think that America is much safer today although it is still not a completely safe place to live. The law enforcement still has a ways to go with making america feel safe. If you pass a cop on a high-way or just simply walking down a sidewalk you should not feel threatened or scared, you should feel safe but sadly that is not the case.…

I love the way you explained how people celebrated 4th of July in America. It definitely gave us a sense of patriotism and national pride. America have gone a long way. Traditionally, it's to celebrate Independence Day with American flags, red-white-blue, and that whole game. Nowadays, from my perspective, there are some patriotic people. However, for me while growing up, it's more BBQ, pool parties, fireworks, and most importantly red-white-blue & American flags. That's still somewhat patriotic and bring people together as you said, communal celebration. Those celebrations only happen in few times annually and truly united as together and helps us remember that America definitely have gone a long way.…

Gazing out of the airplane window, I saw the words Mei Guo— “beautiful country” in Chinese—painted on the airport terminal. My mother and I immigrated to America when I was a small child from Taishan, China. My father was willing to let go of his only child because he, too, knew it would open infinite opportunities for me to succeed. Though my new life in America seemed prosperous at first, I soon realized I needed to create opportunities for myself despite our lack of resources.…
