Life itself is a dark and twisted thing. It seems to make many twists and turns that eventually make out a bag of happenings. All of these circumstances make you a wiser person as these events go on. Many people can say one single event that has changed their life forever. Sometimes, some memories become unforgettable which teach you a lesson that becomes the guideline for your life. That day that changed my life forever

It was 7.00 on a chilly morning when I heard the phone ringing downstairs. This was the phone call that would change my life forever. It was my dad, telling me and mum to come and live with him in America. We knew this was a challenge to us and a very tough decision because we would be leaving our homeland and friends to go to a far away place to our family. We decided to go. We knew we had to adjust to their environment. Mums parents were worried about her future but she though life was big and wonderful.Arriving in a new country was exciting as well as discomforting America is a wonderful place with lots of challenges for me especially English. Because we had come from south Africa I had only been taught one or two English lessons a week and they were very weak and my English listening and oral abilities ten not to be adequate. I will study hard along with my mum to improve our English to understand what the people say. Since we had come we had made great progress not just on the language but also adaptive capacity From what I saw and talked with my friends I realised I wanted to go back to school to improve my capabilities. After making an effort I was admitted into a university and was granted scholarship. I thought getting an admission into university was a good way to reorganize my life. In the past two years I have learnt a lot here. This experience broadens my view and enriches my life. It changed my life for the good. I will try my best in everything, in order to not be regretful in the following years.
