Benjamin Franklin was born in boston on january 17, 1706. He was born in a poor family as his dad Josiah was a poor soap and candle maker. His mom was his dad’s second wife Abiah. Benjamin franklin was the youngest son of seventeen children and the fifteenth child of seventeen siblings. At the age of ten Benjamin began to help in his father’s shop,cutting candle work and filling molds. Benjamin only went to school for two years.But he slowly became fond of books and spent most of his free time reading books. Benjamin learned to read very early. He spent one year in a grammar school and another with a private teacher and ended his formal education at the age of ten. On his spare time he also liked swimming and he became an expert swimmer.On of his first inventions was a set of paddle that increased his swimming speed. At the age of 12 Benjamin was apprenticed to his brother james, a printer. He mastered printing in his early times. He achieved this between 1718 and 1723 which also the same time that he learned how to effectively write and he read tirelessly. Benjamin franklin wasn’t only a scientist he was also a printer and a little bit of a writer. Benjamin Franklin was recruited in the United States cabinet. He was working with George washington and others to make the constitution he even signed it with everyone else involved. Benjamin Franklin never gave up and that’s how he got his face on the most valuable bill in the United States which is the $100 bill which has changed during the years.
