Hink About Your Personality and Work Habits.
Week 1

Think about your personality and work habits. What type of person (in terms of personality and work habits) do you think you’d work well with and what type of person do you think you’d be in constant conflict with?

Answer: Personally, I am an outgoing person, I am known for being blunt and direct among my friends. When I am working, I become a well-organized people, and I always have a written list of things to do and a schedule for doing them, I can both work individually and in a group. I prefer working in a group, I think it can save time and it has more creativity leading to more ideas and better results. I strongly agree that communication plays a very important role in people’s daily life and work, and I'm committed. I would like to work with the person who is responsible and proactive, he/she should be a good team player and being organized. I think being complementary is also important. Sometimes, I will make mistakes, he/she can indicate that to me and give me advises. On the contrary, I don’t like people doing things in an indirect way, I don’t like working with procrastinator. Do you think it’s a good idea or a bad idea to form a business partnership with a close friend? How could you go about discerning if a good friend would make for a good business partner?

Answer: I think starting a business with a close friend is not something to be taken lightly—but if you have the right partner, it can also be the best decision you ever make. It depends on the relationship between you and your friends. There is a delicate balance between maintaining your friendship and growing your business, but it can be done. First of all, he/she doesn’t have any habits that bother me, for example, tardiness, disorganization and so on. Secondly, we should respect each other. Then, I should know him/her very much, his/her strengths and weaknesses, and which can bring to our business. The last one is excellent personality, I value this so much. Good

If I were to start my own business and have to choose between my husband, my intelligent best friend, and a wealthy person to be my business partner, I would choose my intelligent best friend. I would choose my best friend because they would know their way around the work force, they would be able to come up with great ideas to improve our business, and because I know they will be loyal. However, one reason to not consider my best friend to be my business partner is that they are not wealthy, this making it difficult to begin to start a successful business.
