High School Mission Statement
To whom it may concern, I do not truly believe that I can currently reach my full potential at Fayette County High School. The mission statement of Fayette County Public Schools states: "To deliver effective instruction and set high expectations resulting in continued improvement in student achievement." Fayette County High School currently does not satisfy my learning capabilities, and will not improve my student achievement much further. On the other hand, McIntosh High School has the classes that I require in my curriculum. One example of a class that I require is AP physics C. In order to improve my academic abilities further, I must be go to Mcintosh High School.

Our amiable and uniquely culturally diverse population is the reason that I have found living in El Paso to be extremely comforting. The loving nature of the people of El Paso allowed me to develop many friendships, which helped create countless beautiful memories. I want nothing more than to continue my education in El Paso, and to watch this city continue to evolve. Further, I wish to practice medicine in this community which has given so much to my family and me.…

A mission statement is similar to a road map; we have to consult it ever so often to stay on track or as a reminder of our purpose for accomplishing our goals. A well-known educator and author stated, “ writing or reviewing a mission statement changes you because it forces you to think through your priorities deeply, carefully and to align your behavior with your beliefs ” (Covey, 1990). It is believed that teachers who have a clear knowledge of their responsibility in the classroom are usually more effective than those who have no set plans. While viewing a video presentation on the ‘Power of mission’, the speaker explained that,…

The mission of the Honors College is something that represents the environment I enjoy and thrive in. Firstly, the community surrounding education and conversation is something unique and truly mesmerizing. I know that I am in a good place when my peers thoroughly enjoy discussing a multitude of topics, regardless of who they are, what they’re studying, and where they’ve come from. The Honors College is one of these places that gives everyone a voice and the ability to generate open discussions on various topics. Also, the undergraduate research that the Honors College provides will enable me to continue connecting with professors and delve into my passions within my major. Mr. Bill Robinson, an Associate Professor of Management in the Krannert School, is an example of a professor that I see myself bonding with over our interest in new product development. The opportunities to learn alongside professors and seek extra help when needed, is beneficial to learning wholeheartedly. Thirdly, the value student leadership is a wonderful aspect of the Honors College. As Claire Lee, a current Honors College student said in the informational video about leadership development within the program, “student leadership combines the academics at Purdue with the real world experience.” The ability to apply knowledge…

In 2014 I began teaching at Patrick Henry Elementary School in Martinsville, Virginia. It was my second year of teaching and I was eager, “prepared,” and confident. I learned quickly that this was unlike any school in which I had ever taught. Patrick Henry is a predominantly economically disadvantaged school which means, I was not as prepared as I thought. My first year at Patrick Henry was challenging and there were many bumps in the road but, I learned how to navigate them quickly. Teaching at Patrick Henry has been one of the most rewarding things I have done it my life. By obtaining my Maters in Curriculum and Instruction I hope to give back to a school community that I have learned so much from.…

I have set goals to get the best out of my education for a better future. I realized that the school at my hometown wasn’t going to cut it for me. I made a choice to apply for Mt. Edgecumbe High School, which would teach me independence, get used of dorm life, and take classes I need and want to take that isn’t offered at my old school. I was ecstatic to be accepted into this boarding school and I believe that it is the best high school in the state. It gave me more challenging math classes and the teachers are more clear and easier to understand, making the subjects easier to learn than at my previous school. There is also a more diverse selection of science classes. In addition I feel that the english classes are taught a lot better. I deeply acknowledge the way Mt. Edgecumbe High School operates and I am proud to be a Brave. Now at my second year at Mt. Edgecumbe High School I will be taking an Introduction to Law Enforcement class to start on one of my goals. I want to become a part of law…
