Hi Critique Of Education
Hi Monique I feel the same way I would want to see children to get there education first. These children are way too young to be taking on adult responsibilities of having to work to help their parent’s financial wise. I know some children probably do not have a choice, but I hate having to see children work so young at an early age, education should be first!

Many Elementary and Junior High School teachers have told their students that High School is a lot more different than what they're use to. The students were told that the pace of their current curriculum pales in comparison to High School. That is the chief fault of High School curriculum, the pace of High School classes. Meaning, that the amount of material being taught is shoved in a time period that is unnecessarily short. Some students are slow learners and require more time to retain information, others don't have the attention span, and some just lack the motivation to keep up with the fast pace.…

Everyone has their own opinions on beliefs about school. Many say school is the only way for children to go, and many are against it. John Holt wrote an inspiring story called "School Is Bad for Children" that has an outlook on all aspects of school and why it's not for children. He elaborates on all points to argue the fact that children shouldn't have to make life harder by going to school. Holt indicates certain points, but ones that stick out are the compulsory attendance policy and how it affects the child. Also, why we shouldn't have grades and exams and lastly, teachers and their poor pedagogy.…

We need to make sure that we are getting children through school and allowing them to make their own decisions after school instead of throwing them right into work at the age of 12. This issue is still a concern in America, but not as much as it used to be because of all of the laws that we now have put into place. It is a big concern around the world though, especially in poor countries. I can see distributive justice in child labor. “Distributive justice addresses the allocation of resources such as wealth, power, and reward” (Cannon, 36). I see a problem of us consumers continuing to consume these products that are made possible by putting children to work. The companies in between are the ones making all of the money, the children are making a couple dollars a day and we the goods are being sold for way more than that. We can make things right with these children by giving them safe working conditions and paying a little better. For example, we are all consumers of goods such as cell phones. Children are working in unsafe conditions in order to get what is needed to produce cell phones. We can do them a justice by solving the problem and finding a more efficient and safe way to produce the…

Why can’t I be a Bishop? In many church communities, including my own, women are seen as second class citizens. Women are not ordained to positions that are considered as traditional male roles such as deacons, elders, ministers, bishops or pastors. They are ordained to positions that where created exclusively for women such as missionaries and evangelist. “Women are expected to sing in the choir, serve on the usher and stewardess boards, participate in the missionary society, cook in the kitchen, teach children in the Sunday School, and serve in all those position that are regarded as ‘women’s work.”…

Many children have always had to work from a young age. In continents, such as Asia, Africa, and Latin America are in escalated poverty which produces children to work. Poor families are usually required to make their young children work instead of going to school. Poverty reduction is the primary way of lowering the number of children that work. The government should set up an organization in order to provide some kind of compensation so that poor families have an opportunity to give their children an education. Increasing the access of public education is a helpful plan to reduce children working. Even though working at a young age can deprive them from having a social relationship with people their age, it can help in assisting their family…

Getting a job at a younger age would give the child a chance to learn more life skills that they need to become a hard worker. I believe education is an experience and the foundation of human interactions. Being in school is where students gain the knowledge that they will need in the future and to also help them determine what they want to do with their lives.
