Henry Alexander Murray

Wife: Josephine Rantaul (an heiress to the Duport Family Fortune in 1916) had a one daughter born in 1921.

Death: June 23, 1988 Age(95)

Cause of Death: Pneumonia

Timeline

1915- Received his education at Groton School and Harvard College, securing his A.B. major in History.

1919- Following graduation from Harvard he enrolled in the Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons where he graduated at the class.
1920- He received an M.A. in Biology from Columbia and served briefly as an instructor in physiology at Harvard University. Following this, he served a 2 year surgical internship at Prebysterian Hospital in New York.

1927- By the time he received his Ph.D. After a period of study at Cambridge University where he conducted biolochemical research that led to his securing a Ph.D. in biochemistry.

1923- Murray immersed himself in the book of “Carl Jung’s Psychological types”, and in other work of Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud.

1993-Murray met Christiana Morgan, with whom he developed an intense lifelong relationship. And he was exposed to Melville’s Moby Dick.

1927- By the time he received his Ph.D. After a period of study at Cambridge University where he conducted biolochemical research that led to his securing a Ph.D. in biochemistry.
