Having now completed your Initial Assessment you will have been asked by your Regional Trainer to complete a Diagnostic Programme to prepare for your Functional Skills Assessment.
This will be for:
English
Maths
ICT (if applicable)
This will do 2 major things:
1. Demonstrate your readiness to take your Functional Skill assessment
2. Highlight areas that you may need further support in order to prepare for your assessment
This MUST be completed in Full as instructed by your Regional Trainer.
This will need to be completed at home in your own time.
It is essential that you have time to do this in a quiet area and not rushed.
The following is guidance to access your “Live” account from home in order to be able to complete the Diagnostic.
1) Firstly you need to go to the following Web Address: http://www.bksblive.co.uk/bksblive1/LifetimeTraining/default.aspx 2) Log in by entering your National Insurance Number and password. As this is the first time you have logged in, your password will be set as “password”.
As this is the first time you have logged into your own account it will ask you to change the password to something more personal. Complete the form to set your new password.
NB – If you are having problems logging in, your first port of call needs to be your Regional Trainer as it may be that they have not registered you yet and you will not be able to log in until they have done so.
3) Scroll to the bottom of the page where it will show “English”, “Maths” and “ICT” (if relevant.)
Click on the “Take Diagnostic” tab for “Maths” and “English” (and “ICT” if relevant) independently.
Complete the full Diagnostic. (Please note a dictionary can be used for the “English” and a calculator may be used for the “Maths”.)
This will be uploaded onto your portfolio and your Regional Trainer will check this regularly to track your progression.
