Hang Time
Objective
The objective of this project was to find out our hangtime. Hypothesis
I hypothesis that my hangtime will be around 2.5 seconds because I jump high.
Procedure
1. First we lined up against a wall to see how high we got from being on the ground.
2. Then we jumped and measured how high we got.
3. Then I documented the information
Data/Analysis
Start height: 60 centimeters
Finish height: 120 centimeters
Hang Time:
So using the formula t= . I found my hang time 3.464 s.
Conclusion
My hang time is about 3.646 centimeters while an nba player with 40 inch vertical leap, the most athletic nba players, is about 4.494 s. I math up favorably compared to professional players based on the fact that their older, more matured and the best of the best.
Hang Time is an American teen sitcom about a fictional Indiana high school's boys' basketball team "Deering" with one female player, that aired from 1995–2000. It aired on Saturday mornings on NBC as part of the network's TNBC morning block. It was created by Troy Searer, Robert Tarlow, and Mark Fink. The show lasted six seasons, during which the cast was changed almost in its entirety. Only two cast members (Daniella Deutscher and Megan Parlen) stayed with the show throughout its entire run, similar to Saved by the Bell: The New Class.
All jumping involves the application of force against a substrate, which in turn generates a reactive force that propels the jumper away from the substrate. Any solid or liquid capable of producing an opposing force can serve as a substrate, including ground or water. Examples of the latter include dolphins performing traveling jumps, and Indian skitter frogs executing standing jumps from water.
Jumping organisms are rarely subject to significant aerodynamic forces and, as a result, their jumps are governed by the basic physical laws of ballistic trajectories. Consequently, while a bird may jump into the air to initiate flight, no

Our egg drop project that we named Eggpolo 6 was unsuccessful. During the drop, the two forces gravity and air resistance, or fluid friction, will act on the Mars lander. Gravity will be pulling the lander down towards the center of the Earth. But fluid friction will be pushing the Mars lander up in the air and slowing the lander down before it hits the ground. When it hit the ground the Eggpollo 6 gave the ground an action force. The ground gave a reaction force causing the Eggpollo 6 to bounce up after it hit the ground. Action forces and reaction forces are related because they are natural opposites and they don't cancel each other out because they are acting on different objects. During the drop, before it hit the ground, the potential…

First, I will discuss impulse. Impulse is a force acting briefly on a body and producing a finite change of momentum. My design experienced this when it hit the ground. It does not matter how long force is on the object, it causes the same acceleration. To account for this, I made sure that my egg was suspended above the ground a decent distance. My design had several different legs that would prevent most of the force of hitting the ground from reaching the egg. These legs absorbed the forces and since they ran diagonally across the egg, the force was never pushed directly at the egg, but it ran past the egg. I also added a second pyramid underneath my egg. This was in case the legs could not handle the force of landing and decided to bend. This would cause the egg, although still nestled safely in it’s compartment, to hit the ground and break. The pyramid was used to absorb the remain amounts of force that the legs failed to.…

Taking a large step back with my right leg, I then use all my strength in my left to leap back to my right. Another powerful step back to my left leg, I count “three” in my head as my left foot hits the ground. “Two” the next time it hits. Finally, getting to one, I lower the tip of my pole, so it’s now parallel to the ground. Keeping the pole at the same position, I start to count down from three again every time my left foot makes contact with the ground beneath me. This time when I got to one, things were different. Using all of my strength, I leaped straight up from my left leg, driving my right knee up. At the same time, I plant the bottom of my pole to the back of a trapezoidal depression in the ground made of a metal or fiberglass called the box.…

The implementation of the timeout processes could well be the most important procedure to be introduced to the operating theatre in recent times. This seemingly small change has had a dramatic impact on patient outcome, staff cohesion and cost reduction in medical institutions. However, there are still issues that are obstructing the effectiveness of the timeout, namely poor compliance by some team members who believe that the fast turnover of cases does not allow for the timeout, that they have never had a problem in the past or that the timeout is questioning their competence.…
