HCA City Games Analysis
City Games even from the start, so she considers it was the best solutions. And the manager, together with the interns planned and organised the event, we were not involved in that, we just were his connection at the municipality, completed the interviewee.
The second theme was more about the event itself and how HCA City Games performed, judging by the analysis that were made outside and inside her department. The interviewee started with pointing some of the initial objectives, regarding the participant numbers and the idea that the event will expand to other cities on Funen, so it could represents all the island.
Failing to perform on this 2 main points led, in her opinion, to the decision of stopping all the financial and logistic help,

She basically answered to my next questions if the municipality is involved in any way at the new, smaller scale event.
In the end, I left some parts of the discussions and answers outside the three main categories, as they didn’t match in those groups or were introductory conversation or asking for of documentation or that could be useful for my final thesis, to complete or back up the data from the interviews.
The interviewees’ last remark was that she doesn’t believe that the event was a disaster and the organizers did their best, but there are many good events that have better perspectives that HCA City Games.
I can shortly draw some sub conclusions and write some comments around the interview with Dorte Ankjaer Nielsen. First of them is that she was very open and eager to arrange the interview and share her experiences and knowledge with me, fact that could also be read on the social cues, language, mimics, body language, though they were not included in my research. Furthermore, she offered me all the documents she had in her department, related to HCA City

That email also included the interview guide with the main themes, HCA City Games’ creation, mission, vision, performances and last but not least the reasons for abandoning the event. I chose for this interview a closed structure, which implies clear questions and a limited room for variation.27 The advantages this type of interview is bringing is the focus on the topic and is easier to decode and understand and is easier to avoid that the interviewee is jumping from the themes that were included in the interview

I am going to break the structure of this analysis down into 6 groups; Global Realities, Global Managers, Cultural Environment, Organizational Environment, and Situational Environment (SNSR). These 5 groups will be the basis of managing the Olympic games, and subgroups from all 5 groups will also be used. I will also be using one of the TED talks (which really connected m) incorporating the concepts from Pico Iyer TED talk “Where is home?” into the managerial structure used for the games. Lastly, I would like to stress that the point of incorporating all of these concepts and ideals into this structure. Is to efficiently manage the games, and also to prepare for a VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity) world experience. Meaning that the games will be full of moments that are unexpected, subject to change, lacking predictability, and full of uncertainty. Thus the goal is to best prepare for those various moments and situations.…

The starting point of the cyclical process of management is to establish the context of the event by setting key objectives and aims. This helps to make sure everything is done to a certain standard, and helps to evaluate at the end if you have achieved what you aimed to achieve. For our task we where asked to prepare a plan for a business event. Firstly, we have to clarify the purpose of our event, and therefore, the purpose of me holding an event is to fulfill a criteria that is part of my btec assessment. We set objectives for the event we plan to hold, such as, To promote enterprise education, to complete the event by Christmas, to use soap box enterprise, to target primary school aged students, to make this event a success.…

With our busy lives events are a great way to create a distraction for us individuals. There are countless types of events from conferences, seminars, sporting events, networking events, opening ceremonies and so on (Eventmanagement, XXXX). In other words, an event is defined as being a planned activity or occasion that happens (Meriam Webster, 2016). The purpose of an event may differ from entertaining, people discovering new hobbies, fixing and building new structure and of course raising the economics of the city. An event can be for profit or for non-non-profit. In our case, we have two for non profit event and one profit event. Specifically, to offer moments of distinct reflection and experiences relative to their identities as active participants. Consequently, I created a list of general criterion questions to ensure that each participant was eligible based on my research parameters. I also made a list broken down by sub-sections (spatial, music, culture, community-making) to explore the cross-pollination of ideas, norms, values and ways of housing within the Black house community. As well, I drafted separate questions based on what I believed to be their most prominent role at the party. For example, Mxxx Pxxxx controlled the guest list. Therefore, I asked her questions specific to the importance of her determining who would be invited to the party. After my data collection at the Underground Wonder Bar, I set up 2-3 hour blocks at libraries that were located close to where my participants lived. Often, I picked them up and conversed on our way to the library to ‘break the ice’ before conducting semi-structured interviews with all three collaborators. I selected this method to allow for a more conversational and relaxed environment since prior to setting up these interviews, I learned that most house kids speak in highly excitable tangents about their culture. Through this observation, I realized that I would often find insightful…
