I. PROJECT IDENTIFICATION

The general objective of the enterprises development is to provide the trainee with the opportunity to experience the actual establishment and management of a hog fattening enterprise and develop the managerial and entrepreneurial skills and traits. The specific objectives of the enterprises development project are as follows: 1. To carry out the responsibilities and functions of a manager during the entire operation of the hog fattening enterprise; 2. To provide employment for those people who are unemployed. 3. To attain 85 kilograms live weight per hog within 3 ½ months of operation; 4. To generate a Returns on Investment (ROI) of at least 17.31% for every cycle of operation; and 5. To become the number one producer of hog fattening in the Province of Albay.

II. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT
The project will be named “GWATIPOMA Hog Fattening Enterprise”. Six (6) heads of large white breed of fattened hogs would be procured for each cycle of operation. Each fattened hogs will weigh 85 kilograms at disposal time. The fattened hogs will be sold on cash basis. The buyer will pick up the fatteners from the project site shoulder the transportation cost. The target buyers of the product will be the meat vendors of Camalig and Daraga Public market. The selling price of the product is assumed at P90.00 per kilogram live weight in the first and second cycle of operation. The projected sales will be P45, 900.00. The project will be located at Sua Camalig, Albay. It is approximately five (5) kilometers from the town proper. It is accessible to all types of land transportation. The hog shed measuring 6 sq. m will be constructed. Cleaning and Disinfecting of hog shed will be done one day before loading of the stocks and will be used of hot water and powdered soap. Six heads of Large White breed of stocks with an initial weight of 12 to 15 kilograms at 45 to 50 days old will be procured per cycle of operation. This will be bought from the relatives of the proponent at P1, 800.00 per head with a total cost of P10, 800.00 per cycle of operation. Biologics and supplies will cost P315.10 per cycle of operation. Pigrolac will be the feeds to be used and it will cost P22, 814.00 per cycle. Feeding schedule will be 7:00 o’clock in the morning and 3:00 o’clock in the afternoon. The method of feeding will be dry feeding. The hogs will be given 0.5 kilograms each of early wean super start for 20 days. Each hog will be given 1.0 kilograms each hog per day for 28 days. This will be followed by hog grower given at 1.7 kilograms each hog per day for 34 days. Hog finisher will be given for 23 days given at 2.3 kilograms each hog per day. Deworming will be done a week after the procurement of the stocks using latigo 1,000.00 as dewormer. It will be done a week after procurement of the stocks. After 3 ½ months, the fattened hogs are ready for disposal. Transportation will cost P300.00 per cycle. GWATIPOMA hog fattening Enterprise will adopt the sole Proprietorship form of business...
