The soundtrack produced by Dairmuid Qunn and Jeff Aldrich under Warners Brothers Records, debuted at number 21 on the U.S Billboard 200, selling about 32,000 copies within its first week. The song speaks about doing whatever it may be it “Before it’s too late.” Therefore, it is telling us that we have to take the chance when we get the chance because we will never know when it is going to be too late. Aside from the fact that this song was written to portray a movie’s theme, this song is also a lesson for those to many. A lesson to those to afraid to take a risk, that what they need most is to let go of their fear and take the chance. This song is mostly saying that there is no point in putting off thing because there is no better time than

While Mattel's Miracle Moves Baby Doll was an expensive toy, it was an enjoyable realistic toy that provided children a chance to use their imagination as well as keep the child entertained. As the daughter of a single mother who worked full time this toy allowed me to keep myself entertained in many ways; therefore, my mother could continue working. Though in order to assess how well this toy allows a child to submerge themselves in a world of their own imagination and entertainment one should take into consideration some of the many the actions of this toy. Unlike many baby dolls of the early 2000's the Miracle Moves Baby Doll had soft silicone skin rather than a hard plastic body; furthermore, it had the ability to blink, coo, giggle, suck…

I was really intrigued and moved about the research study done by Kenneth Bancroft Clark and Mamie Phipps Clark. The doll experiment which let the African American children gets to choose from two kinds of dolls, the white dolls and the brown dolls. They call the white dolls as the pretty doll while they call the brown doll as the doll that looks bad. The study shows that children preferred the white dolls compare to the brown dolls. I feel bad after reading this, African American children thinks that their race is inferior compare to the other race. Even though they are only children they don’t think that all races are equal. I remember when I saw a video that teaches diversity to children. The teacher shows the kids two different eggs one…

A Doll’s House, by Henrik Ibsen, portrays a young married woman, Nora, who plays a dramatic role of deception and self-indulgence. The author creates a good understanding of a woman’s role by assuming Nora is an average housewife who does not work; her only job is to maintain the house and raise the children like a stereotypical woman that cannot work or help society. In reality, she is not an average housewife in that she has a hired maid who deals with the house and children. Although Ibsen focuses on these “housewife” attributes, Nora’s character is ambitious, naive, and somewhat cunning. She hides a dark secret from her husband that not only includes borrowing money, but also forgery. Nora’s choices were irrational; she handled the situations very poorly in this play by keeping everything a secret. The way that women were viewed in this time period created a barrier that she could not overcome. The decisions that had the potential to be good were otherwise molded into appalling ones. Women should have just as many rights as men and should not be discriminated by gender; but they should also accept consequences in the same way without a lesser or harsher punishment.…

Killer whales, killer whales." The lead singer says these two lines over and over, I feel that when he says "it doesn’t have to be like this." He is talking about his situation in his life at that very moment, and that his conscience is speaking to him. All of it speaks to me personally. The real pain I feel is my guilt and how it appears to be by my own hand. But as he says in his song "It doesn’t have to be like this.... it's not too late turn off the engine, get out of the car and start to walk." In the end he reassures me that am in power and can change my struggles around if I just start to fix my issues and never stop. For a long time, I would listen to this song on repeat my freshman year at palmetto high, scared of my future and wishing I knew where I would end up. That uncertainty paralyzed me into anxiety that gripped me at my heart; Fear of the unknown and what's to come held onto the back of every thought as if it was an alarm clock I could only set to snooze, after every few moments it reminded me what I was avoiding. In the end I ran from it and the responsibility attached to it. It was only after touching a piano had I discovered what I wanted to do tomorrow and all the years after. I wanted to be a creative, an artist. If there was any lesson I would want to take from this song and my experiences connected to its lyrics. It would be that uncertainty isn't certain, and that everyone has the power to get up and walk away from what causes them…

The film for me revolves about in life and time. Life that we continue living it with regrets, full of disappointments for whatever we lost and continue losing a bunch of wishful thinking. And like I always say to myself, the “Time is like a straight line when you reach twenty your twenty, when you reach thirty your thirty” there is no turning back because we always dream of having a remote control over it, where we can stop, pause, move forward, backward or play with it again.…
