Every human being must eat food in order for them to survive. Yet, do we as humans actually pay attention to what we consume on a daily basis? Genetically Modified Organisms or better known by their abbreviation GMOs, are a topic that are discussed daily in news outlets, books, articles, radios, and many other forms of communications. Many consumers perceive GMOs as a horrible thing, since it alters the natural food system. Yet, the average of consumers who perceive GMOs as a bad thing don’t fully understand its concept or would they be able to tell if their foods contained GMOs. My focus is to inform consumers who have a brief knowledge of GMOs and why they shouldn’t perceive GMOs as a horrible thing. I plan on informing these types of consumers by discussing three topics: What GMOs are and when they were introduced, why GMOs are a necessity in our food systems, and the positive outcomes of GMOs. To begin with this topic, I will be discussing what GMOs are and how they were introduced into the world. Showing the benefits of why GMOs are a necessity and how they are a positive thing, also informs those who perceived GMOs as a horrible conclusion. Overall, after going in detail over those three topics, it can be shown that there is no need to fear GMOs when it comes to food consumption. Instead, there are more positive outcomes that deal with GMOs and their uses compared to its negative issues. So say yes to GMOs and look at it in a positive way by going pro for
