Abstract

This report investigates about the Automated Teller Machines in CIMB bank. We will cover several areas with explanation and research in functionality, current scenario, advantages and disadvantages, differences and similarities on certain topics derived from the CITW module, the impact of the technology after it has been applied. Ending the report with the writer’s point of view in putting some recommendation for the better state of the technology and the way it can be used, conclusion in which the writer predicts the future of the ATM in the upcoming.

Introduction

In the past, the banks did not have a special place in society, but population growth and economic development bank to find a special place in society. Global economic activity basin banks do their best in order to expand services to offer their customers. CIMB bank has been established on 26th of September in 1955 under the name of BANK NIAGA. Higher quality product and services was in this companies object that all the time try to prepare for customer and client finally in 1987 CIMB became the first bank in Indonesia , but they do not stop there in 1991 , CIMB became the first bank to provide online banking facilities in South of Asia . The merger makes Bank CIMB Niaga the 5th largest bank in terms of assets, deposits, and lending and branch distribution network. CIMB Group is also the majority shareholder of PT Bank Niaga in Indonesia. CIMB bank has branches across Southeast Asia. CIMB bank services are provided to more than 5.3 million customers in 367 branches in the Malaysia. CIMB when introduced Automated teller machines which are also known as ATM is a computerized telecommunication device that provides the costumers of a banking institute the capability to make a financial transaction anywhere without the need of a teller or clerk.
