Most people believe that George Washington was the very first President of the United States. On the contrary to that belief I feel inclined to inform you, that George Washington was definitely not the first President of America. During the American Revolution the U.S Congress appointed Peyton Randolph to be President over America at that time, and we all know that George Washington was serving as a Major General.     No other presidents accomplishments can compare to the fact he was the greatest founder of the United Sates. The most noteworthy accomplishment is that he was the Commander in Chief of the Continental Army.
