Geneticist
By: Bailey Gaskin Period 3
Genenticis- A person who studies or specializes in genetics
A geneticist is one who studies and works to apply his/her knowledge of genetics, branch of biological sciences that involves heredity and natural point of views in living organisms. Geneticists are the leader of the last frontier of biology, they have u the lnlocked last few secrets of life Genetics more focuses on the passages of traits form parents to their offspring from generation, to generation, though this is far from the only area of interest. Some geneticist works can work in a high numbers of fields in this job , sorting from very challenging to more of an easy type of career such as environmental sciences or as high as the “Law” in genetics! One very more on the famous side to the study of genetics is the study of diseases that commonly affect valuable crops. Some genetictist conduct research so perfectly well done that for scientific gain to add to the body of knowledge that scientists have grown on the topic of genetics!
Gregor Mendel, a priest and scientist in the late and early 17th century,he is greatly well known as the father of genetics! Due to the fact he is called the father of genetics is because he was widely seen as the first person to create and study the genetics of humans and other living organisms. He is known for studying the inheritance of traits of peas, and he determined that traits are inherited based on a specific set of rules he later creates. His discoveries formed the foundation and support of the modern day field of genetics, and are widely studies in schools all of the United States and as well as the whole entire world! Those planning to study or think about joining the study of genetics for a career will undoubtedly study Mendelian genetics early on in their education.
Biomedical professionals (very educated geneticists) can also focus on the study of normal and genetic disorders that some people experiences from birth,

Genes are molecular units of heredity which encode for different types of traits. Each organism has traits that are defined phenotypically and can be studied though the field of genetics. Genetics is the study of genes, heredity, and how they cause variation in different living organisms. Scientists study genetic pattern in different organisms to determine the different trends in a certain population.…

The founder of genetics, Gregor Mendel, showed that parents passed genes to offspring. Genes code for traits. For example, Mendel demonstrated that a single gene codes for the color green in peas. A single gene also codes for the color yellow in peas. The geneticists who followed Mendel had no difficulty extrapolating his findings to the rest of life. Of particular interest was the role of heredity in humans. In a casual way, people had long appreciated the importance of heredity, noting for example that a child looked strikingly like his or her mother. Geneticists sought to formalize observations of this kind, tracing, for example, the transmission of the gene for brown eyes through several generations of a family. In the course of this work it was natural for geneticists to wonder whether intelligence and traits of character were inherited with the lawlike regularity that Mendel had observed with simple traits in…

Probably, applied genetics' most impacts on society are as a result of genetic tests. In general, genetic tests seek to detect some feature of a person's genetic constitution. This feature can be a disease causing mutation or a marker DNA sequence used to detect presence of another gene. Obviously these procedures used for testing the status of DNA, RNA or chromosomes are included in genetic tests. What is more it is possible to include some protein based tests and classical medical examinations when they aim to detect inheritance of a trait. Genetic tests have been divided into four categories in this text, and they will be examined in greater detail later. These categories are:…

Our present day cabinet of curiosities (the "Cabinet") is akin to early modern representations, which contained a vast range of objects representing the power of divine creation, in that the Cabinet represents, through its display of five objects, the power of human knowledge. Each of these objects helps mankind acquire and/or use knowledge. The order of objects displayed has been designed to reflect the evolution and utilisation of knowledge: an illustration of the DNA spiral helix (the building blocks of life); seed samples (the growth and development of organisms); the electron microscope (allowing detailed examination of objects); the tablet-style computer (the dissemination and democratisation of knowledge); and the moon rock (exploration of space).…
