Genetic engineering and artificial selection both allow humans to change a species so that the members are better suited for human needs. Although he mechanism for change is not the same and artificial selection selects for traits already present in a species, considering that genetic engineering creates new traits. In the artificial selection, scientists breed only individuals that have appealing traits. In the genetic engineering, scientists use device of DNA technology to instantly control a genome. One way to adjust the genome is to fit genes from the organisms. For example, a few cotton plants are not the same from their nun-engineered

    -Genetic engineering is an area in biotechnology that induces cell alterations in any kind of organism. It is based on artificial manipulation and transfer of genetic material from one organism to another. Basically the cells coded in with the new genetic information will pass those selected traits on to their offspring. Genetic combinations might be useful but not often found in nature. Genetic engineering now a days, is used in medicine to produce insulin and growth hormones, for those who lack it. The virus then is inserted into the bacteria DNA, ten the bacteria produces the hormones, which are then collected and given to patients who most need them.
