Gay Marriage Speech
My Speech

Good Morning Miss Read and class! Today I am going to talk to you about gay marriage and that it should be legal in every, why all citizens show have equal rights for marriage and why I think gay marriage should be legal! Gay marriage should be legal in every country!

Gay marriage should be legal because there people to. Being gay doesn't make you any less of a human then straight people, they sleep, eat, walk, talk, work, drink the same and any other human, but just because they love someone who is the same sex as them, they're not allowed to get married.
I don't see why the government doesn't let same sex marriage legal, If you found someone when your older who you want to be with for the rest of your life and you love them then you get married but just because some people like the same sex they're not allowed to get married!
Gay marriage should be legal in every country.

Being gay isn't something people just decide one day or a religion they follow, they're born gay! Gay people, being humans, have the right to be married. My Step Brother is gay but he still acts the same as everyone else. He believes that gay marriage should be legal also because he thinks that everyone should be able to love and spend the rest of their lives with the people they love.
Joel Osteen quotes, " I don't think that same-sex marriage is the way god intended it to me."
Personally I think that quote is a silly quote, because if god didn't want same sex marriage God wouldn't have made people gay. Gay marriage should be legal in every country.
I Think that gay marriage should be legal because everyone has the right to love and to marry the person they love. Some Gay couples live in the same house, have shared bank accounts, have bought a house together, adopted children and other stuff meaning that they have all the same things as a married couple but there not allowed to get married because some people think it's wrong.
There are hundreds of celebrities are gay, Ellen DeGeneres, Elton John, Niel Patrick Harris, Jane Lynch, Alan Cumming, Michael Cashman and many more. Elton John and his partner David Furnish have a baby boy Zachary with help from a surrogate mother.
Gay marriage should be legal in every country.
In the end, I think that gay marriage should be legal all over the world because everyone has the right to be married to the one they love and want to be with for the rest of their lives.

If someone were to ask me if I thought Homosexuals should be allowed to marry, I would say definitely. Allowing same sex marriage will give gay couples access to rights such as inheritance, health coverage, and adoption. Same sex couples should be allowed to have access to marriage benefits just like any other couple. It is not fair for society to shun gays. I feel that we should all be accepting to their lifestyles. Homosexuality is not any different than a normal couple. Love has no boundaries and is controlled by what ones feels inside their hearts.…

Everybody should have the right to a legally recognized union with a partner of their choice. The debate over whether or not people in same sex relationship should be allowed to marry, or even enter into civil unions is no new fight. Legalizing gay marriage has brought a new trend which then providing the arguments on supporting gay marriage such as denying them is a violation of religious freedom and minority discrimination encourages people to have strong family values and constitute a good based family as well as giving up high-risk sexual lifestyles. Homosexuality is an accepted lifestyle nowadays with most evidence proving biological causation, and marriage benefits should be available to all couples.…

Why should we let two people that love each other get married? It’s just not right! The only reasons why two people should get married are for money, sex and kids. And since gays can't have kids, there's no point to lesbian sex, and anal sex is just plain nasty. Therefore, gays have no reason to get married.…

Gay marriage and religion go hand and hand with each other. Religion is one of the main reasons that people are having a debate over gay marriage. Even with laws being passed, some churches still will not allow same-sex couples to be marry into their religion. Churches that are against gay marriage can have a choice to deny the people their right to be marry, but by doing so they will get punish with tax exempts and that their choice. Religions or churches should not interfere with the rights people to have when they get married. In the future, maybe all religions will be able to accept gay…

Try to imagine life in a society that refuses individuals to marry who they love. Imagine people being around their partners, but not having the legal rights to call them their wives or husbands. The fact of the matter is one does not have to try to imagine this because this is the state of current society. People can argue about whether church and state should be separated, the banning of polygamy, and not legalizing gay marriage, but the major importance is the institution of love (Sullivan). Gay marriage should not be opposed, but embraced by society with joy. Gay marriage should be legalized in the United States because denying this right is unfair and unconstitutional; marriage is not about money or judgment of society, but about a couple’s love for each other, and it will help reduce or solve social problems.…

One of my favorite points of this article, is his point if gay marriage was legalized, religious communities would continue to do as it please. For myself, being Catholic if we are married and choose to divorce we will not be blessed for a second marriage. In some situations marriages do not work because of cheating, abuse, and etc. This comes down to the rights of people again. If he or she feels that a marriage is not working and they want a divorce it is their decision. Even though, I am Catholic if I ever come to a situation where I am not happy in my marriage I will divorce. It is my life and how I live it is my decision not another. Gay people have an opinion as everyone else does. They aren’t different from us therefore, we as a society need to stop compelling with this idea we have.…

Whether or not gay marriage should be legalized in the United States is an on going debate. I personally do not understand why it isn't legalized already; By not allowing homosexuals the right to marriage you are taking away their freedom of speech. It is not right to treat them with such inequality. Marriage should not be just between a man and a woman, if same-sax couples are in love and want to spend eternity together, they deserve the right to do so through marriage. Marriage comes along with many benefits that they are unable to recieve just because they are denied the right to marry.…

Gay marriage should be legal because as woman and man, all individuals have the same right in society; because same-sex couples can constitute a good based family; because it is just a way to make official a common union nowadays, even with the religious issue; because it is not related to polygamy; and because love matters and it does not differ in nature according to the sex of its object or the person who experiences it.…

Many same-sex couples want the right to get married because they are in love. Many, in fact, have spent the last 10, 20 or 50 years with that person, and they want to honor their relationship in the greatest way our society has to offer. By making a commitment to stand together in good times and bad, through all the joys and challenges family life brings, and to show that off to the public, just like other married couples. Same sex marriage should be legalized because they have a right as individuals of the United States to love whoever they want, and whoever makes them happy, and as citizens of the U.S., they should not be discriminated against based on sexuality.…

The issue of gay marriage has been a long-standing issue that has plagued our society worldwide. With the same fire as ethnic equality issues brought during the civil rights movement, gay marriage has brought similar attitudes our of current generations. Opponents of gay marriage claim that it would destroy the foundation and meaning of traditional marriage and family and that it would lead to polygamy and a growth in sexually transmitted disease. I believe that gay marriage is a right that should be afforded to all individuals, as it would help the local and state governments, change traditional family values for the better, and for the mere fact that it is a right protected and often overlooked by the constitution.…

I think love is love and why should somebody not be allowed to get married based on their sexuality? It doesn't change anything nor does it affect anyone. If someone is happier being married to the same sex why are we saying no, how is it any different to a man and woman being married? Yes man and woman were created to love each other and conceive a child but a gay couple can adopt or foster an orphan. It actually helps out to children who have never had parents…

    Gay Marriage Controversy

Many people who are opposed to the idea of same-sex marriage are so because of their religious beliefs. However, the decision of marriage should not be made by the government, but by the couple that is in love. The First Amendment of our constitution states that a person’s religious views, or lack thereof, must be protected. It gives us freedom of religion, which means that a group of people should not be shamed for not having the same beliefs as others. Marriage by the state is secular, meaning that it not a religious activity, and the government should not infringe on others rights to marry due to their religion (Messerli). The government should have no say in who loves who, or take their opportunity to have a wedding because American law is not and was not based on religion. Although, a priest that does not agree with gay marriage should not be forced to marry a homosexual couple. Churches deserve the right to refuse any marriage they want. One major influence in the Catholic Church would be Pope Francis. During an interview when asked about how he feels about the sexual orientation of priests his response to reporters was, “if someone is gay and he searches for the Lord and has good will, who am I to judge” (Donadio). This is a message that people can learn from, why judge others if they are not being harmful to you or…
