Gatorade Argument Analysis
In the sports world energy drinks are the key to every athlete’s performance. Every company tries to show the public how their product is the best on the market and how it can benefit anyone who uses it. Sport Drinks are taken serious when it comes to American sports especially football and basketball. Gatorade and Powerade have always been at battle with each other for the top energy drink brand in the world. The high demand for these great products has only increased the competitive sprit. To get consumers to buy their products and convince that their product is better than the opposing opponents product, they must shows different slogans, Ads and celebrity spokesmen to sell their products. Gatorade also has a product called the “G Series” and it contains a series of products they made it keep their consumers on the top of their game. “Prime” is the first of the G series after that its “Perform” and last but not least is “Recover”. To persuade the consumer to buy their product even more they use professional athletes like NFL Player JJ Watt and Basketball player D’Angelo Russell to boost there sales. Powerade newest commercial for the year uses the slogan “We’re All Just A Kid From Somewhere”. This features Basketball player Derrick Rose in their commercial as well. Powerade has Three products just like Gatorade but their a little bit different. There is the regular PowerAde, PowerAde Zero and PowerAde Zero Drops. Powerade Zero is a low Calorie drink that has less sugar in it. Something that Gatorade really doesn’t thrive at. Advertising for Sports drinks is a major part to getting sales. These companies try to uses each and every resource they can use to grab their consumers attention and try to get them to buy their product, Gatorade and Powerade will continue to come up with new and better ways to sell the product each and everyday with better slogans and more spokesmen to become the top
