Futuring Exercise

A telephone call in the year 2020 would probably not be just a phone call. It could be a video chat where the screen pops into the sky soon as you answer it. A future phone call could even be a hologram of the person you are talking to. We already have voice dialing in the year 2012, in the year 2020, we might have “mind dialing”. Eating a meal in the year 2050 with my family, I will be sitting down with all my children and grandchildren and their children. Eating space food, dipping dots, or food that comes out of a tooth paste tube. Maybe even like back to the future when they popped a tiny pizza in the micro wave for a minute and it came out a huge pizza hot and ready. When I joined the military and saw an MRE for the first time I thought it was one of the coolest things ever.
By the year 2025 to do a homework assignment I believe we will have touch screen lab tops, watches, I-pads, etc. and everything will electronically be submitted for further review. Going even further into the future and doing a homework assignment in the year 2125, we may have mind writing where u just think of what you want to say or do and a computer automatically does it for you. Overall I don’t plan on doing any homework in the year 2125 so I will probably never know.

In 2025 the way homework is completed will have changed dramatically. Typing will be a thing of the past. Interfacing with the computer will be verbal. Your computer will work with you without giving you the answer to the questions. The OS will act more as a tutor and less as an inanimate object. Completing the task will be a symphony between you and your OS. Much like olden days where students had only a slate, students will have only a tablet. The difference is students of the future will have a world of knowledge and resources at their fingertip. We will no longer have Web 2.0 users but Web 3.0 where students will use the internet with AI.…

They will write that we had technology that was unsophisticated and it had very little uses compared to what they might have then. They might also write about how this generation and its addiction to technology and how the average teenager could not get off of his or her phone. Medical technology might also get written about and how it was very unsophisticated and it was nothing like what they might have then. Lastly, everything will be stored and used on a device kind of like a phone and these new “phones” are going to have a lot more capacity for more intense apps and extremely more storage space.…

Some of my favorite classes I have completed at Jefferson College of Health Sciences have been Kinesiology and Exercise Physiology. Reading chapter two of our text interested me the most because it covers the basics of kinesiology and goes into techniques we learned in exercise physiology, such as how to find maximal heart rate reserve. In my reflection paper I will discuss three main topics that spiked my interest the most, they are the FITT principle, how compliance and adherence affect peoples ability to continue in an exercise prescription, and the health benefits that are gained from regular physical activity.…

I can't say for sure whether the world will be a place after 100 years, because I think one part will change for the better, while another part will be worse. In the technology, everything has a different type. Many new machines have been invented. Those things will help people more efficiently. You can finish a lot work by one touch. You just hold a small remote, and it will order everything. For example, the car will drive to your house by itself according to your orders, the TV will choose the best program and tell you what the important news is for you today. We will have no traffic jams because the cars will fly in the sky, you don't need to drive them because everything is automatic.…

What one of the changes I think I'll see in the future of the communications industry is instead of a home telephone, people will use these little box that projected a hologram of the person that they're talking to. This hologram will pop up when you want to talk to someone. Both people would have to have one of the little boxes. The heliogram will look real enough that it is just like you are talking to a real person. It should cost up to a hundred dollars and should be In addition to the hologram might be where you can download different backgrounds. You could pick something like the Grand Canyon or being on the moon. The person you are talking to will see you in front of the background of your choice. They can imagine you are at the place you would like them to think you are at. You could also download other things that you might want to be around you.…
