WHY IS IT NESESSARY FOR A FUTURE HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONAL TO BE FAMILIAR WITH COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY? Computer technology is a subject matter and a field that continues to increase, expand, and grow on a daily basis. The use of the internet, information technology, developed computer software, and electronic medical records will continue to play an important role in the health care sector. For this particular reason, along with other motives, computer technology plays a crucial part on enhancing the quality, the effectiveness, and the efficiency of medical services delivered by all present and future health care professionals.

Without a doubt, the evolving nature of technology and medical knowledge and expertise will require health care professionals to develop and enrich their computer skills. When asked how technology will change and affect the future of health care, the simple response may be that one cannot bear the thought of a future without technology within our medical system. Computer technology is going to truly shape the health delivery process nationally as well as globally. With integrated systems, computer functions will enable faster delivery of services with more accurate medical records and information for end users.
