Course Description:
This course aims to introduce students to the Turkish economy and provides the students a comprehensive understanding of concepts used in the Turkish economy and industry. The course will give an overview of the industries of the
Turkish economy, but the emphasis will be to understand the fundamentals of the
Turkish economy and industry.
Exams:
There will be a midterm exam, a term project, and a final exam.
The midterm exam will consist of multiple-choice questions and short answers/definitions, including application problems. It will be held as scheduled and will count toward your final grade (20%).
The final exam will consist of multiple choice, short- and long-answer questions, application problems, and figure labeling. It will be comprehensive, covering all

required materials through the date of the final exam. It will be held at the end of the semester. The final exam will count for 60% of the final grade.
All exams will be closed book and notes.
Term Project:
You will be assigned a term project to be completed before the end of the term.
The term project topic is “The International Competitiveness of the Turkish ABC
Industry”. Please choose one industry of your interest and analyze its international competitiveness at least in 5 pages. Please submit your paper in
MS Word, 12 font, by email to
