A favorite at Feldman's Deli is the half-pound New York style sandwiches with freshly sliced meats and made-to-order goodness. Going beyond sandwiches, enjoy the bacon-wrapped meatloaf, chicken paprikash, pierogi, stuffed cabbage, smoked whitefish or chopped liver, just to name a

    Pantry Research Paper

The first memory I have of the Pantry was as a child and I would go up to the attic of the old farm-house on 1063 N. Dugan Rd., Urbana, Ohio. My parents, Harry and Donna Dachenbach, moved from the farm of John Yordy on St. Rt. 36 where my sister was born, to the farm on Dugan Rd. This would have been about 1937 or 38. The house was a very large two-story house with a long attic that was scary for a young boy because it was dark, dusty and filled with junk and trash. There was a pair of broken boards between the two sides of the attic that my sister told me, “If you fall through the break, you will fall all the way to the basement”. Though an absolute falsehood, I sucked it up and always gave a wide berth to the broken boards. There was a large family living on the farm before Mom and Dad moved in, I believe their name was Hess. Back in the late 1800's – early 1900's a family by the name of James owned and lived in the house. The pantry was stored up in the attic against one end and was covered in dust and bird poop. After we got a TV and I got to see “Captain Video and his Video Ranger”, the Pantry became my space ship console (no color TV…

The place that I decided to volunteer at was the St. Thomas Church Pantry. The purpose of this service is to get food to people who have fallen upon tough financial times. One business skill that this group needs to keep the food pantry running is marketing skills. One of the struggles that food pantries have is not getting enough food donations of items they need. So, the leader of the pantry must ask for donations of the items that they run low on. This also means that the volunteers at the Pantry must take inventory on food items to ensure that they will not run out of certain food items. Also, they have to have a volunteer schedule just like most businesses this is to ensure that at least two volunteers will be working during the two days of the week that the Pantry is…

Robert Kenner’s documentary, Food Inc., gives insight into operations in the food industry. The documentary depicts the people’s desire for money, with resultant implications characterized by mass production through varying approaches. Indeed, Kenner seeks to sensitize the society on the manner in which animals are exposed to inhumane conditions, severe health conditions that result from mass production in the food industry, and unmoral circumstances under which farmers operate. Whereas various flaws are depicted in the movie, it remains important in relation to societal operations and development. This positional essay provides a critique of Robert…
