At Grinnell Regional Medical Center (GRMC) and other health care organizations, the feedback control model is the most universally utilized control method. According to Draft (2014), the feedback control model “establish standards, measure performance, compare performance to standards, and make corrections as necessary” (p. 631). As health care continues to evolve and change, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the largest insurance provider in the country; sets standards for care that organizations and providers must adhere to (CMS Roadmaps, n.d.).
