Favorite Moment Research Paper
The second favorite moment in my life was my first orientation day in kindergarten as I was excited to go to school for the first time. When I walked into the class, I remember running around and exploring new equipment while my mom and the teacher were talking. When it was time to leave, I started to cry very loudly and sat in a position where my mom could not move me. My mom waited about 15 minutes but I still didn’t stop crying, so she had no option but to drag me down the hallways where everyone was staring at us. My mom told me “get up, people will think I’m kidnapping my own daughter”, but I was still not wanting to go home. The object that I would use to represent this moment is a crayon because I was in the coloring station when I was

There’s a certain moment in my life that really stands out to me. It was the day I went to Colorado. The day got out to an excellent start. It was my first time getting on a plane. My grandmother had told me the different ways the Navy and Air force take off. Our pilot was definitely in the Navy before because he took off going up as soon as he could, that was my favorite part of the flight. I was also thrilled that we were high up in the sky. Everything below was so tiny and we were above the clouds.…

During my junior year in high school I visited the oncology area at St. Christopher's hospital for children with the Quilt for Kids a nonprofit organization dedicated to brightening the lives of children who suffer from abuse or life threatening illnesses. Oncology is the study and treatment of tumors such as cancer. The volunteers made quilts for the kids for support and comfort during their recovery. I made two-horse stuffed animals instead of a quilt, I wanted them to hold on to something while they went to a difficult process. I made a chestnut-brown horse color, with hazel eyes, and light-colored hair. The other horse was a dun horse with tannish tint, with brown eyes and dark long hair. This experience had an emotional impact on me it…

I got a call from the Museum of Childhood and they said that they want three things from my life. Why me? I wondered, all things are important to me. Well, I chose my Santa Barbara Soccer Club white jersey, a picture of my old dog Sabrana, and gym shoes. These valuable I treasure deeply to my family and I will remember every memory I have had with them.…

Zack Wheeler for Starlin Castro? Noah Syndergaard for Javier Baez? Jake deGrom for Addison Russell? No, no and no. Despite what appears to be a “match made in heaven” fit between the pitching-rich Mets and the shortstop-laden Cubs, the Cubs have shown little interest in moving any of their three high profile infielders. But what about their other shortstop, the guy nobody ever seems to talk about?…

One of the most memorable moments I have experienced was four years ago, when I traveled from Matamoros, Tamaulipas to San Antonio, Texas. I had the opportunity of visiting San Antonio for the first time, and more importantly, of spending time with my family who I had not seen in years prior to the trip. Spending time with my family is of great value and importance to me, so I became utterly excited to see them as soon as I had the chance.…

When I was little, I always used crayons. I never really liked to use colored pencils or markers. Crayons just have a certain feel to them as I use them. I also have memories that involve crayons. I was about four or five years old and I was in Sunday school. In Sunday school we would have color time. The teacher would bring out a huge tub of crayons and hand each of us a small handful to color with. There was a boy who sat right next to me every Sunday. One particular Sunday he decided to take my crayons and broke them. As a four/five year old this is a traumatic event. I chased him all over the playground that day, and we’ve been best friends ever since. We’ve been dating for a little over a year now, and who ever…

It was the night before my first day of kindergarten, and I was as anxious as ever; I was ready to learn all about the alphabet and the many different letters that were a part of it. My mom had told me that school was the place where I would learn these, and I thought school would be the best thing to ever happen to my life… little did I know. My first day of kindergarten, the teacher told us everything that would be going on for the year. I was just waiting for her to say "learning how to write the letters of the alphabet." Suddenly, those words finally sprang from her mouth, and I just about jumped out of my chair. I didn't fully understand why I wanted to learn to write; however, whenever the topic was brought up by someone, all I wanted was to magically know how. It absolutely intrigued and thrilled me that people were able to use these things called letters to communicate without speaking. My teacher really made me excited to learn the…

The proudest moment in my high school career is when I signed myself to take my first AP class. I was really nervous about going to the meeting to sign myself up to get the summer assignment because I felt that I was not ready for the work load, and I would not be able to pass the class. My excuse for not going to the meeting was that I was helping in the cafeteria and I was going to be really late, but when I told my two best friends Jenny and Virginia that I wasn't going to take it anymore. They got so frustrated and annoyed with me because they said I was stupid if I didn’t take AP calculus because that was my favorite subject and I needed a challenge in that class. They also made me remember when I would tell them that Math Analysis was…
