Start With Faith and Work Your Way Up
There are many stories mentioned throughout the bible where people went through hardships, persecution, famine, danger and God appears silent, yet they still endured. Jesus himself, when dying on the cross experienced the silence of God. I believe that although God may seem silent he never really is and to understand his silence and our doubt we need to better understand faith. It is that silence that makes Faith so challenging, that is why we must start with Faith and work our way up.
Although, according to Webster’s Dictionary the definition of faith is: confident belief in the truth, value, or trustworthiness of a person, idea, or thing, belief that does not rest on logical proof or material evidence, loyalty to a person or thing; allegiance, often Faith Christianity The theological virtue defined as secure belief in God and a trusting acceptance of God's will. The body of dogma of a religion: the Muslim faith, a set of principles or beliefs.
