We get to test how these organisms react to different stimuli, and get to see how incorporative they can be. We can start to appreciate the hard work that lab workers that conduct their experiments on animals. I found the time allotted to the lab perfectly fine. We were given sufficient time in class to observe and come up with a research questions in class, to conduct our experiment, and to finish our report. The more work we do in class means less work we need to do at home, and that is good for seniors, who would rather work on college things in the Fall.
I believe that Ms. Quenzer provided an adequate amount of guidance. You gave us examples of what we can do for this lab and what should be included in the presentations and reports. Most of my questions, if any, were answered. You also provided a lot of the materials that we requested, so that was a great help. To make this lab more worthwhile, I believe it’s necessary to maintain a stable source of pillbugs. Due to attrition, many groups did not meet their pillbug requirements and forced to use less number of pillbugs which can affect the data. You should do this lab next year if there are enough …show more content…
He mentioned we can observe the behavior of the pillbugs in light or dark environments. He also wrote most of the purposes of different materials in the proposal. Technically, Brandon recorded the data during our experiment, helped the making of the experimental choice chamber that we used during our light/dark experiment, and we also used his iPhone during our color trials. He also did all the data table in our lab report and wrote the data analysis. I think he contributed enough to the lab. He did his part in the lab and participated in the progress of completing the lab. I would work with him again.
Partner 2 - Ashley Chen Intellectually, Ashley did most of the background research on the pill bugs and wrote the introduction and conclusion of our lab report. Technically, Ashley’s main job was taking pictures of the pill bugs, setups, and recording the pill bugs. We also used her phone to time during the color trials. I believe that Ashley can contribute a little more in the lab. She did her part but if she takes a little more initiative in cleaning up or something else, it would be better. I would work with her again.
