Their is an explanation (of why something works or happens the way it does) Some exoplanets have a strange orbit then go to a normal orbit.

Could there be water on exoplanets?

There is a subsection of exoplanets called “Goldilocks Planets”, coined by Neil de Grasse Tyson. A “Goldilocks Planet” is an exoplanet that is within its host stars habitable zone. The habitable zone is a band around the star where it is “just right”, water is in a liquid form, which makes…

Nine were found when Uranus passed in front of a bright star, the rings causing the star to temporarily disappear when they passed in front of it. This was the first time astronomers had detected rings around any planet other than Saturn. It was the first time, also, that astronomers had detected thin rings around any planet. The other two rings were found when Voyager 2 passed by.…

The planet I live is called Planet Buzz. The place is devoid of people, except for me. The place looks like a gigantic ball of yellow, flowery dust. The dust swirls around the planet and shrouds it from outsiders. The dust smells of methane and honey. Planet Buzz has many bees which is why the atmosphere smells of honey. The methane smell is from the core of the planet. Everyday, the core leaks over two hundred million pounds of methane.…

When a bunch of Exoplanets orbiting the same star are discovered all at once the closest one to they star will get a 'b' and then the next one out 'c' and so on. Now you might be wondering, why do the planets start with the letter 'b'? That's because astronomers use a capital 'A' to indicate the star in a solar system or the brightest star if there is more than one.So in a binary system the brighter star will get a capital 'A', the dimmer star will bet a capital 'B' and the first planet would get a lowercase 'b'.…

Are Aliens Real? Is there life on other planets? This is a question many people have considered at least once in their lifetime. According to Neil deGrasse Tyson author of “The Search for Life in the Universe,” all known cultures across all of the time have attempted to answer the question “are we alone?” According to Tyson, although Earth is the only known life in the universe there are many arguments that have been made that suggest that we are not alone (1) .…

Planet Nine, the new planet that has been discovered inside of our solar system. Planet Nine is a planet that astronomers,Konstantin Batygin and Mike Brown, have found with research and evidence. Because they used research and evidence Planet Nine hasn't been seen but astronomers believe that they have enough evidence to prove that it is in our solar system. The evidence to prove that it is in our solar system is that scientists have recently noticed a change in orbits of space objects near by,and that can only be caused by a massive planet. This is also how astronomers discovered the planet of Neptune because they also noticed a change in gravity with the other planets .This planet is also causing a clustering of asteroids and comets in the Kuiper Belt. The astronomers used the space-based Kepler Mission Telescope to see the changes and to locate where this planet might be.There are about 2,000 identified planets that are surround our solar system but none are a big deal because there is nothing unique about them like Planet Nine.Planet Nine is different from the other 2,000 identified planets because this planet is actually in our solar system, a place we should have known a lot about by…

Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system. It is twice as large as all the other planets combined. It has 28 known satellites. The earliest discovered moons date back to 1610 and were discovered by Galileo. This is of interest because a future mission to Jupiter is named after this astronomer. Most of the remaining moons were discovered in the 20th century with advancement of technology. Some are discovered using better telescopes and others with missions directed towards Jupiter. Some of the more recently discovered moons are yet to be named. All that we know of Jupiter couldn 't possibly have come form just observation. Some have come by spacecraft passing by Jupiter on their way to other missions and some of the most comprehensive…
