SBUS10050 Excel Exam
The Excel Practical Exam: You will be asked to complete a financial forecast for a small company.
You will each receive a unique excel file. The file contains a set of instructions on the ‘Instructions’ sheet, a set of data on the ‘Excel test data’ sheet and a sheet containing the set of definitions of financial terms (also given at the end of this document). You are required to follow the instructions to complete a financial forecast, create a graph and answer a descriptive statistics question. You have
40 minutes to complete the test. Save your work regularly. On completion, upload your completed excel file.
Getting the file for the Exam: Internet Explorer (IE) is the recommended browser for Blackboard, other browsers may cause problems. Use your LAN cable,
 Navigate to the “Assessment” section of “Data Analysis Decision Makers SBUS10050”,
 Click on the folder titled “Excel Exam”,
 Click on the “Excel Test Download” and enter the password given by your tutor,
 Download the attached excel file to your Data Analysis folder on your hard drive. If your name is
Jane Doe, save the file as janedoe_*.xlsx where * is the name of the attached excel file. Ensure you save it to the correct directory otherwise it may default to "My Documents".
 Enter the location of your test file and press submit.
What you have to do:
1. Open the Excel File.
2. Enter your name and student number correctly on the Instruction Sheet.
3. Follow your instructions on the Instruction Sheet. Save your work regularly.
4. You have 40 minutes to complete the exam.
5. Save and close your excel file.
6. Follow the instructions below to upload your test.
When finished, to submit the exam:
 At the end of the test. Save and close your excel file. Ensure your file is closed before attempting to submit it.
 Using IE as your browser with your LAN cable plugged in, go to the “Data Analysis Decision
Makers SBUS10050” module and the “Assessment” section
