Examples Of Leadership Philosophies
My Leadership Philosophy: SSG Kara Hall One of the first and most important philosophies I would share with my troops is that I will always “Lead by Example”. In my military career I have had some exceptional leaders, and some toxic leaders. The reason this is of such importance to me is that I have seen more leaders lead with the inclination of “do as I say, not as I do.” If an NCO is wanting to be a great leader to their soldiers, how can they expect to accomplish that if they can’t even lead from the front and do what’s right themselves? I don’t think it is right to ask a soldier to do something that you haven’t done, or wouldn’t do yourself. To gain your soldiers trust, it starts with getting to know them on a personal level. Driven by a philosophy that you can never give up on a child, Edith Robinson Christian Academy staff actively seeks out youth who have been thrown out of school, are unable to reach their full potential in a traditional school or are barred from other programs. This passionate organization helps them change their lives—and realize their full potential. I’m currently the owner but in 2013 I was the owner, Principal, teacher, cafeteria (cook), transportation, etc. whatever it took believe me I did it. Well this school year I have a staff; Principal, five teacher, two cafeteria worker, one security, two transportation driver, and myself the Director of Schools.
