Evolution is the change that happens in a population over time. In this case, a “population” is an assembly of the same species that share a precise place and habitat. The myth of human evolution originated in Africa about six million years ago. It is the thought that our ancestors went through a process and eventually formed into humans. (factmonster.com) Natural selection can vary species’ in different ways, forcing a population to change color or size over the progression of several generations. This is otherwise known as "microevolution." Natural selection can create an entirely new species, called “macroevolution.” Macroevolution is able to turn dinosaurs into birds, amphibious mammals into whales, and the big one, apes into humans (Than). Evolution is a very tenacious myth. An ape is a group of primates that include the gorilla, orangutan, and the chimpanzee. Evolutionists will say that humans must be descended straight from apes. They believe that apes somehow changed, phase by phase, into humans (science.howstuffworks.com). Some scientists have found that roughly 98.5% of the genetic factor in humans and apes are almost undistinguishable. This means that apes are the closest existing biological relations to humans. A great majority of scientists believe that our common ancestor lived between 5 and 8 million years ago, which is when the evolution theory came about in Africa. …show more content…
The evolution myth argument starts with the rejection to admit bias. Proverbs 1:7: The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and introduction. If there is a creator, (God), then all of mankind is accountable to Him and praised by Him. However, if there is not a creator, (evolution), then all of our lives are unsystematic likelihoods and our only value is what we control ("Creation vs. Evolution - What Does the Bible Say?"). This brings the big question, if there was no creator, and we evolved from apes, where did these apes come from? Did they just randomly appear on earth? The evolutionary theory clearly states that all of man originated as ancestors from apes. However, when scientists are frequently asked the question, “where did apes come from?” they change their story to something like “humans did not evolve from monkeys, they are more related to modern apes than to monkeys, but humans did not evolve from apes. Humans share a common predecessor with current African apes, like gorillas and chimpanzees” (pbs.org). There is no other possible logical explanation as to how mankind was created other than God. Apes did not magically form and turn into humans. On day six, God produced the animals to roam the earth, and then he created man and
