Squirrels have various adaptations that have helped them through generations to become the successful organism they are today.
Squirrels have adaptations that can help them in many ways for various reasons. One of these adaptations is the anatomy of their hind legs, and with this adaptation they are able to rotate their hind feet which allows them to go down a tree head first. Over time this species has also developed a high sense of smell, and during the winter time this can help them find the food they have stored away. Squirrels have been known to communicate with each other through body languages or different squeaks and chirps. They communicate this way to warn each other if a predator is nearby.
