Evolution Of Calpurnia Tate Quote Analysis
The author of The Evolution of Calpurnia Tate, Jacqueline Kelly, puts quotes from Darwin’s book the Origin of Species, before each chapter, to tell what the chapter will be about. In chapter two, there is a very detailed quote that describes the chapter very well. The quote is “The laws governing inheritance are quite unknown; no one can say why . . . the child often reverts in certain characters to its grandfather. . .” This quote means that some children do not have the same traits as their parents. They sometimes have traits of their grandfather. If the parents are more strict then the child might want to grow up like someone who wasn't as strict, like their grandfather.
