Eulogy For Grandmother
"4am is the time that I would find Sarah thinking, screaming and not being able to sleep. The only thing that she can think about is the fact that it has been 7 years since the day you left us mom. 7 long years. She has wanted to scream your name numerous times but both her and I knew that you wouldn't respond." I said as I stood looking down at my mother's grave.

" I know that it's harder for Sarah to get past this. Believe me mom I do." I said as I sniffled a bit. "There are times when she'll come into my room and just tell me all her favorite memories of you. Like the time when you would make those Mickey Mouse shaped pancakes for her because she loved Mickey. Or how you always scribble some type of saying or message on the napkin that

That both Sarah and I would be wonderful mothers. That you couldn't wait to hold the next generation in your arms." I cried out as tears streamed down my face. "Mom? I just want you to know that my children will grow up knowing who their grandmother was and how wonderful she was and is. And that is a promise." "Yeah yeah go ahead. I'll be in the car." I said walking towards my mother's gravestone. I leaned over and kissed the ice cold slab then walked towards the …show more content…
"Hiya momma. I see that Hannah has caught you up on everything that has been happening." Sarah said looking down at her feet. "One thing she didn't tell you was the fact that I graduated high school. Yep mom you heard me right. Believe me there were days when I wanted to drop out but I did it for you." She said picking at her fingernails. "I remember when I was 10 years old I told you I would buy you a house. All you said was that you didn't care for a house. That's all you cared for was my time. And you know for a 10 year old it seemed kind of silly. What do you mean time? But now that I'm older I understand. And the only thing that still haunts me to this day is the fact that I didn't spend enough time with you." There was a long pause and all you could hear was the wind whistling. After a few moments of silence Sarah finally spoke "I miss you so much mom. Why did you have to leave us!" I heard Sarah sob as she fell to the

I tried to get actual words out but all could come out was, “Mmm… Amm.” “Sydney.” I nodded, feeling like a stupid dizzy bobble head. “You were in a car accident, and also you are in the hospital right now.” Dad told me. “This is probably going to be hard on you but…” He stopped, and I thought I heard him crying. “Your… Mom… Is…” He stopped again then he started, “ Dead.” My whole world collapsed with that word. I was gone without my mom. I curled up into a ball of sadness, never coming…

Phoebe always gave the nurses that visited me a terrific time, which ended up having the nurses take care of me like i was the president. She left her latest story on my bedside table. Hazel Weatherfield got shot in the leg, but still somehow managed to fend off a mob of gangsters with an empty revolver. Of course, I found that impossible. My mother eventually to see me, along with the Phoebe and D.B. We had a long talk, and I don't feel much like talking about it. I remember she started crying at one point. I got up and gave her a hug. D.B. and Phoebe joined in quick. It was the least phony thing you could imagine. I told her that everything would be fine, and that we were all here, Allie too. That made her smile. She looked me in the eyes then kissed me on the cheek. She was still crying, but I swear they were tears of joy. What troubled me though was that Dad wasn't there. He's never there for these rare moments. That worried me a little bit. I felt like I should have worried about it, or at least pretended to worry about it, but I didn’'t. Come to think of it, Dad is hardly on my mind nowadays. He's on my mind even less that he used to be when we were normally together, and that was pretty low. Don't ask me why, because I can't explain…

She remembered the last labored breaths her mother had taken, each a struggle for one last moment of life. She remembered watching that same life pass out of her as she heaved her last, and how it had not been quiet and tranquil as movies and books made dying moments out to be. It had been obvious that her last few moments were filled with pain, as it tried its hardest to catch her one last time before she could physically feel it no more. Her soul had passed on, and her body was no longer hers.…

We were so happy, I started explaining to her where we were, how the place looked like and that there was a big garbage can, as I explain tears dripped from my eyes. We hugged each other, cried, and stayed put right next to the garbage can. We finally saw my mother’s silver BMW car. We slowly walked towards the car, making sure that it was my mother or one of our parents are in there. I then saw my mother did something with her hand, I know what that meant to hurry up, I told my little cousins to hurry up and get in the car, we ran as fast as we could towards the car and got in. Since then my little cousins and I learned a very big and important lesson that we will never forget, it to your pacings with your family, close and to tell them that you need a break if you are losing your…
