By law, Kate is allowed the to have an abortion in every state because Roe v. Wade. In the Roe v Wade case, the Supreme court ruled that a woman has the right to have an abortion any time during the first trimester. In considering the ethics of the case, the ethics board consider her personal issues such as not being insured or her unwillingness to be a mom less in comparison to the significant ethically relevant factors.
