In high school, most of the students are more preoccupied on socializing than in acquiring an education and cheating is common among students. Cheating and plagiarism among students have increased during the years and a high percentage of people have admitted that they cheated in some point of their high school. Cheating and plagiarism only harm the student. However, the teachers should do more on this issue. When entering college, students are forced to take remedial classes to learn the basics that they did not learn in high school. Math, reading and writing are fundamentals to continue an education or join the workforce.
