Health care is the largest industry in the United States today, providing more than 14 million jobs across the country. It’s no secret that the health care field is growing at an expeditious rate and the industry can be referred to as recession proof. According to recent numbers from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, seven of the 20 fastest growing occupations are health care related. Health care will generate 3 million new wage and salary jobs between 2006 and 20016, more than any other industry. This was one of the main reasons I considered upon choosing a new career path. I feel that the skills and knowledge I attained there has prepared me to adjust and function in a real work place with real people in this field that I chose to study. Downtown Integrated Medical Services is a health care facility that has various specializations, serving the communities needs in cardiology, urology, neurology and gastroenterology, as well as physical medicine and rehabilitation/personal injury, chiropractic/personal injury, acupuncture and different avenues of radiology.
