“ Hei Earth to Mona”, Mari joked, trying to grab her attention. “ Ya, sorry. I thought I saw something”, Mona with fear of letting anyone in, letting anyone know her secret. She doesn't want anyone to look at her differently. Since she doesn't know much more about what is going on with her than anyone else. All she knows is that she has this feeling, almost like a sixth sense. And all day she has been feeling this eerie darkness around her. She looks around her, trying to, maybe, find the source. But it seemed as if it was everywhere. It was as if the whole mall was consumed with this darkness. This frightened Mona. As she tries to calm herself from the fright of the opening door, she looks back at her family to find them no longer staring at her, but now staring at the opened basement door. In the act of her curiosity, Mona cautiously approaches her family. But then suddenly stops because of what she sees next. Her family beginning to raise their arms, pointing down into the deep dark basement. Now, shivers down her spine, Mona walks toward the basement door, trying to see what they are pointing to. She walks closer and closer straining her eyes to see through the thick blackness, while frequently looking back at her family to make sure nothing has changed. But with all her efforts she could not see anything but darkness, so she reaches for the light switch, inside the stairwell, to get a better look. While she washes her plate she looks up and sees the basement door in the reflection of the window. Mona puts her plate down and in fear and curiosity goes to investigate knowing how foolish it is. Heart beat racing. She opens the basement door and turns on the light. Nothing happens, so she decides to continue down the stairs. Looking around she sees nothing out of the ordinary. But Mona notices the something doesn't feel right, so she decides to return upstairs. When she starts losing her balances, and her vision starts to get foggy. She tries to continue walking to the stairs. But once she reaches the third stair she begins to fall back. Hits her head on the floor and she is knocked
