English Civil War Effects On People
How did the war affect the people?
The English Civil War affected the people in many ways like most wars do. The everyday family had to face deaths of thousands of people, especially young men who were husbands, sons and most important, fathers. During the 1600s it was the husband who worked and earned the household’s money so the family could survive, while the mother took care of the children and raised them. However, when the person that earned the money was killed, the family would be more helpless than ever, and not only would there be a lack of money to get what they needed, but the family would also suffer from emotional distress because of the ongoing war.
