• I would also suggest selling your EE bonds and contributing the proceeds to the MOST 529 savings plan. The interest earned on Series EE US Savings bonds issues after December 31, 1989 are tax free when the bonds are redeemed to pay for qualified higher education expenses or rolled over into section 529 college savings plans, prepaid tuition plans, or Coverdell Education Savings Accounts. The EE bonds are currently worth $25,000 and earn a return of 3.5%. The projected rate of return for the MOST 529 portfolio allocation is greater and investing the after-tax proceeds into this plan will result in a greater return over the 13-year time period before Becky enters college. With the lifestylet took a strong toll on Tiede. Tiede states that “She showered Tiede with gifts; she gave Tiede three million dollars in exchange for all of his attention. It got worse and worse, she was becoming more possessive of my time and my energy. I felt like I was in prison” (Torre). Tiede enjoyed the lifestyle too much to walk away and it resulted in him murdering Nugent. His sister even stated that “Bernie was living in a dream” (Hollandsworth). The movie Bernie does a poor job at telling the story of Marjorie Nugent’s murder. The movie creates sympathy for Tiede’s actions by portraying his character wrong when hiding the corps of Nugent and making it seem as if the murder was not a premeditated act.…

    Equity warrant bonds are bonds issued with equity warrants attached. Warrants are similar to share options, and give their holder the right but not the obligation to subscribe for a fixed quantity of equity stocks in the company at a future date, and at a fixed subscription price (exercise price).
