Eczema around the eyes can be due to atopic dermatitis, strong products or astigmatism.

It is common with eczema around the eyes because the skin around the eyes is very thin and delicate. Eczema may be due to the makeup, soap or other harsh products. Alternatively, if you rub your hands in your eyes after taking in flowers, spices or nail polish.

You can also have hereditary eczema around the eyes. This is called Atopic dermatitis or atopic dermatitis. This type of eczema can not be cured when they are chronic. But you can keep eczema at bay with cortisone ointment and moisturizing cream.

In some cases, even eyelid eczema depend on the refractive error.
