Unfortunately, for those in midlife and beyond, current medical aesthetics increasingly suggest that the more one 's skin changes with age and diverges from youthful standards, the less "normal" and desirable an individual 's appearance becomes. Many gerontologists and related practitioners now focus on "positive aging" rather than traditional conceptions of aging that emphasize the "problems of aging," with the goal of providing alternative representations of later life and challenging ageist stereotypes. Indeed, many forces are currently working…

Some people from this specific generation say that the worst thing about being a baby boomer is their age. They are starting to age more and more each day and experience things that they have never dealt with before like arthritis, aches and pains, wrinkles, and more health issues. Because of this, many people born during the baby boom exercise and eat healthy to stay young looking and competitive in the work force. Also, most anti-aging beauty products and gym memberships are sold to more elderly people because of this reason. But that is not enough for some, some people even go to the extreme and get surgery done to keep their faces looking young and healthy. Dr Roy David states “Facelift and eyelid surgery remain some of the most commonly performed cosmetic surgery procedures in the United States” (Marketwired “Baby”). In 2014, over 500,000 facial surgeries were performed. Many procedures that were done, were performed on men surprisingly. In fact, 20 percent of surgeries done are on men compared to only 10 percent about a decade ago (Marketwired “Baby”). Older men often get hair transplants done because they are insecure about their balding but women also get hairline transplants too due to the thinning of hair in the front. It is known that after healing, people would never know that someone got work done and they would be ready to return to the work force looking young as…

There are supposed to be only a few common side effects such as, soreness or bruising where the shot was given. People could even have a fever and a few flu-like symptoms. Then they started seeing some major side effects that doctors say are very uncommon and rare, such as difficulty or pain when swallowing foods, even some liquids could accidentally go into the lungs when trying to swallow. People could also develop irregular heartbeats; have heart attacks, or even seizures. That is not including what could happen if someone had an allergic reaction to the medicine, such as a rash, itching, swelling, and even breathing difficulty. Another effect of Botox that could happen is if the injection is not given correctly it could cause paralyses in nearby muscles and if this happens and a person gets an excessive amount it could even cause parlays in muscles that are not even close to the injection site. Even though the doctors say that these side effects are uncommon does not mean they could not happen and I for one would not want to take that chance especially not with how sever some of the side effects…
