Outcome 1
1.1
My duties and responsibilities of my own role are to ensuring that all the clients are safe in their rooms, to assist with personal care, respond to any call bells, to report any accidents or unexplained injuries to the nurse in charge, ensure that dentures, glasses and hearing aids are in working order, to assist with meals and clean any spills immediately.
1.2
The standards that influence the way that the role is carried out is the Care Standards Act 2000, Mental Health Act 1983, Disability Discrimination Act 1995.
1.3
The ways to ensure that personal attitudes of beliefs do not obstruct the quality of work is to provide an equal, non discriminatory and inclusive service to all clients no matter what your own personal beliefs and values may be.
Outcome 2
2.1
Reflection is the examination of personal thoughts and actions. This means focusing on how you interact with colleagues, clients and the environment. This means on how you could have done something differently, what you did well, what you could have done better, how could you improve what you did. Reflective practice is important because it helps us to develop and improve our practice by thinking about what we are doing. Reflecting our own actions we are able to see areas where e could improve so reflective practice is a great way to maintain our learning.

In-house and external training and development
Being shown my more experience colleagues
Reading textbooks, journals, and articles

A Personal development is a very important document as it identifies your training and development needs. The professional development is the process of developing qualities and skills needed in the workplace, such as problem solving, teamwork, good communication skills, all these needs to be continually updated through attending training and needs to be carefully planned
